Pattern: Lots of Love for the Splendid Sampler Melissa Corey

Five hours went by before I finished this one butterfly fabric block today.
I certainly wasn’t speed piecing.
These blocks were given to me by the Babes quilt group ladies in 2016 during my treatments for breast cancer. I was sharing the blocks on Flickr and I was pleased when a few Flickr friends made and sent blocks as well.
I bought the glorious Minky fabric for the back and then realized there was no way I was going to cut down the fabric and have so much waste.
I am now making another row on the side and one on top. I have 8 more blocks to make. This Minky fabric is so soft. I have to finish this just to wrap up in its softness and kindness of my friends.
