African American Memory Quilt

The dress fabric is from Sharon's pillowcase. Sharon is my Sister-in-law. She died of colon cancer in her mid 40s. She found out she had colon cancer four months after her mom, Susan, died of breast cancer. 11 months after Sharon died Steve (her brother) died from a blood clot that went to his lungs. This quilt is in memory of those we have lost and is made of bits and pieces of their clothing and sheet sets,
