Babes Christmas party needle case exchange
What an absolutely wonderful evening. I had my first radiation treatment because yesterday when I went for my first the machine stopped working as they were getting ready to take my first xrays. Today I had six xrays with my arms in a mold up over my head and my head tilted to the left laying on the radiation bed then the technicians came in and said some xrays came back with different information than what they expected so they had to take them again. They let me bring my arms down and sit up and reposition myself to loosen up and then back down again. After 1 hr and 45 minutes of laying in one position the treatment was completed. It was painless just taxing on me emotionally. I got in my car and cried like a baby. I cried and cried and cried and cried all the way home. Then I kicked it into high gear and got ready for the party. I needed my Quiltin' Babes time last night more than anything in the world. I didn't say how emotional it was for me. Everyone had a medical story of one kind or another. Bev was not there because her husband had a stroke and was still in the hospital. Jean's husband just went for his kidney transplant annual visit after 4 years with a kidney a friend gave him and he is doing wonderfully. He actually plays basketball on Wednesday nights. Medical miracles happen all the time. We exchanges the needle cases. The one I gave is the Christmas one on the upper left side. The one I received is the batik pink one on the lower left. We picked numbers and then chose the gift bag and then we opened them according to our birthdays since our projects this year were birthday blocks to each other. I feel the needle case I picked was destined for me. It was a great night to begin our holiday season. I wish everyone the "most wonderful time of the year"!
