Castlecuffe

2 miles west of Clonaslee in Co. Laois and built by Sir Charles Coote in Elizabeth's time. He married Dorothea, a daughter of Hugh Cuffe from Cork and as was the custom, named it Castle Cuffe as a token of his esteem for Dorothea.
