Take Your Camera To Lunch My Friends! And If You're An Osprey Take Your Fish!
Another exciting shot for me! I'm so glad I take my camera to lunch with me. You never know what will fly in! As I was photographing his mate on a light post about 100 yards away, I saw him out of the corner of my eye flying with this HUGE fish. My friend Liz and I drove over by the pond, and I spotted him in a huge oak. I couldn't get a good shot because the camera was picking up it's limbs instead of the bird.
You won't believe this. There were landscapers there and one of them came up and asked me what I was shooting. I pointed to the Osprey, and he was excited too! "Wow! That's a huge fish, maybe a bass, maybe a Talapia." He said, "Here let me help you", and he started tromping down the dried bushes and grasses in front of me so I could walk down the hill and get closer, and at a better angle. That's when I got this shot. Then he went back to his truck, pulled out a four wheeler, bushwacker thing and drove it down the hill and cleared a path. I mean, wow, I'm still dumbfounded by his kindness, enthusiasm and chivalrous assistance. I just have to thank God, for this day, for that kind man, and for putting so much beauty and friendship in my path!
Thanks for viewing! This was a team effort, me, my friend who indulged me and drove over to the pond, my bushwacker buddy and of course the Osprey and fish! Maybe you had to be there, but it was just AMAZING how everything came together.
