A set of sections that explore a perceptional quality of the manufactured views along the main axes of Valsanzibio. It explores the idea that a qualitative difference exists in the perception of space-making materials. With the idea that a tree or a hedge is perceived differently from a similar mass of brick or stone (despite 'making' the same space), or a pool of water has a different perceptional effect than a field of grass, an overall assessment of 'hardness' is given to each section. The overall quality is assigned based on a balance of the primary perceptional elements in that (designed) view. LABELLED VERSION.
