Grace's Warbler - Bear Canyon Campground - Mt Lemmon, Arizona
EXPLORE # 495 --- VIEW LARGE--This bird had to definitely be one of the most difficult to photograph during our entire trip.
I am certain there are other more cooperative Grace's Warblers around, but this guy was NOT one of them. I would not be exaggerating to say I took 100-150 photos and have 3 or 4 that I could post.
He was CONSTANTLY moving and would NEVER come out in the open--or if he did--it was for a millisecond!!!! Oh, I forgot to also mention, this is a HIGH CANOPY bird!!!!
Still, a most beautiful little Warbler, and can only be found in the mountains of the Southwest. This is the Western counterpart to the Eastern U.S. 's Yellow-throated Warbler. (not Common Yellowthroat)
