Townsend's Warbler - Carr Canyon Road- Sierra Vista, AZ

Gene & I decided to head up the mountain on Carr Canyon Road---Most glad that we did as I got my very first photos ever of a Townsend's Warbler. We saw quite a few at a very choice spot along the road that were all in migration, as this bird does not breed in AZ.

Bird is 27.5 feet from the camera.

With this warbler, I now only need Hermit, MacGillivray's, Bay-breasted, Connecticut, and Swainson's to complete my N.A. photo portfolio......well, I'm not going to count Colima, even though I probably should. The walk required to see one in Big Bend N.P. is now beyond my physical abilities. Now that I think about it--gotta include Rufous-capped as well since it does indeed breed in N.A.!!! So--6 more!!

Note: Aug 02, 2016--- Got Swainson's yesterday!!!! 5 to go!!!

Got Connecticut , June 04, 2017 Manitoba---

Got Hermit May 06, 2017 Mt Lemmon, AZ ....

So, 3 to go!!!!
