Cyclo Pans freewheel

The shed excavations continue...

The information sheets are the most interesting part of this collection. The three double-sided sheets were tucked into a pocket inside the soft case, where they have probably slept undisturbed for decades. While the printing is undated, one sheet cites victories by Simpson, Anquetil, Merckx, and others for the years 1965, 66, and 67. One sheet has a black stain from contact with the cogs in the case.

The cogs are:
Threaded: 16 and 17t
Unthreaded: 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, and 23t.

The cogs are a mix of unused and slightly used. Some have minor rust from storage, and some have a bit of chain grease.

The four-pin freewheel removal tool is in good shape.

The case has been banged around a lot. The zipper is shot. On the front it says: ROUE LIBRE "CYCLO" PANS. On the back, handwritten in faded felt marker, it says "Pickens" (a local racer from the '60s and early '70s) crossed out, and "SDBC San Diego". I raced with SDBC from 1970, but don't remember ever seeing this type of freewheel in use.
