Big Bubble

9 image stitch(~100MP) of the old Bubble Chamber at Fermilab.

Bubble Chambers are old school particle detectors. As particles pass through the working fluid, they leave trails of bubbles. If subjected to a magnetic field, charged particles will curve, and from the curve, momentum can be determined.

This is useful in some sciency way or another.
