Bonaparte's Gull-Harford Co., MD 4/18/20
Lapidum. This bird's feeding behavior was pretty unique...not unlike a storm-petrel. High wind and a rapid current from head on allowed him to feed in place, like running on a treadmill, while the other gulls around him were carried with the current and then flew back upstream to start again. First time I've seen this behavior.
