Triumph 2500 injection
The original 2.5 litre injection model was the late MKI 2500PIof 1968, it should have been a decent car but the Lucas injection system wasn't great and lead to a poor reputation. The MKII "Innsbruck" appeared in 68 and the 2500 was made available with twin carbs, but the PI inexplicably remained in production until April 1975 and shortly after was replaced by the twin carb 2500S.
So should we call at a 2.5PI or a 2500 injection? well I've always thought the MKI was 2.5PI and MKII the 2500 injection, but it seems the MKII carried both 2.5PI and 2500 injection badging at one point, so take your pick.
I believe this one's wearing the rims from the 2500S, I much prefer the Rostyle wheel trims found on the PI and early Stag, which in turn came from the Vitesse.
