intergalactic Rainbow
With the weather being pretty crappy lately we haven't had much of an opportunity to try for any milky way shots for a couple of weeks. Jay e-mailed me with the forecast for the night to be clear at lunch time on Friday. We made a very last minute decision to grab our gear and head up to the Blue Mountains to try for a shot of the Milky Way over the three sisters. We met up with Gemma and Luke (fellow crazy astro photographers) and braved the cold for some galaxy shots.
This is one of the first attempts at a panorama of the Milky Way. It is bloody hard to capture it correctly and stitch it together. This time of year the MIlky way starts to go horizontal across the sky which makes it perfect to shoot as a pano.
I am looking forward to the next attempt and hopefully I can come up with something different.
