EXOTIC GRAND OPENING

More fun with acrylic ink and paint.

These are Liquitex Acrylic Inks.....wonderful bright colors....I'm loving them!

Fun Technique

I started with 2 pieces of 140 lb watercolor paper exactly the same size. Postcard size will work to start.

On one piece I dribbled and swirled white acrylic paint from a squeeze bottle.

I then used a palette knife, toothpick, wood skewer(anything, even a twig will work) to swirl and spread the paint...but I wanted to have some thick places...do not use a brush...and leave some lumps of the white.

I then dropped several drops of one color of acrylic ink onto the white paint...again using the same implements to spread/swirl and slightly blend. Then I did the same with a second color if desired and then a third if desired.

Next, I pressed the second piece of paper onto the painted one...making 2 copies...remove carefully without sliding it around.

One copy is usually a favorite. They will be different...not exact copies.

LET DRY COMPLETELY.

Then you can use anything you want to add additional lines or accents, and to ''find'' flowers etc.

I used white ink from my Signo Uniball pens. On one of these I used black ink.

I intend to do more of these experiments using other tools and techniques.

Will keep you posted.
