Leyland Leopards UPT517 & 6249UP - 05-05-19
Preserved Alexander Y-type bodied Leyland Leopards, UPT517 and 6249UP, pictured together on display at the North East Bus Preservation Trust's North East Bus and Coach Show at the Gateshead Metrocentre on the 5th May 2019.
Former Venture Transport 249 (6249UP) was new in 1963 and has been a regular attendee to many bus rallies in the north for several years now. Meanwhile, 317 (UPT517) dates from 1970 and as far as I am aware is new on the preservation scene. Unfortunately I am unable to find any further information on the origins of this vehicle, but all credit to the owner for a superb restoration!
