262 piece wooden puzzle, "Chrysanthemums" by Claude Monet; Artifact Puzzles, USA.

Next up I tried one of two split-tendril puzzles, this new release of a Monet painting I've never seen before. The pieces in this one were at least twice as large as in the first two puzzles, probably to accommodate the split-tendril cut, which has tiny tabs that are already fragile enough.

Despite my love for Monet puzzles, this was probably my least favorite of the bunch. It was easier than expected, and the whimsey pieces really gave away the game. The split-tendril design looked very challenging when the pieces were all spread out, but there is a certain predictability to this kind of design. But more than anything, the distribution of color in the image made it quite easy to work on each area. The best thing about the puzzle was the figural edge at the top, which came as a surprise.

Completed in 2 hr., 1 min. with no box reference. 262 total pieces: 27.7 secs./piece; 129.9 pcs./hr. Difficulty rating: 2.8/10.
