Soo Camden Capers
Soo Line's Railway Transfer Job worked from either Humboldt or Shoreham yards in Minneapolis to the Railway Transfer Yard in downtown Minneapolis near the Milwaukee Road Depot. It was normally the province of the "Dolly Sisters" Soo's two RS27s 415-416. Every so often other power, such GP7/GP9s and even F units were used. This is the case when F7A 2229-A and GP9 2404 are pulling the train through Camden Place toward Humboldt Yard on Sept. 20, 1979.
2229-A had only months to live. It would be retired in January 1980, towed to Pielet Brothers in Illinois and scrapped.
