Freebies found in the "free" bin at Launceston Backpackers. I thought the salt might come in handy for removing leeches. As it turns out I didn't encounter any leeches at all.
The free fuel was the real prize. It was out of stock everywhere in Launceston and nowhere to be found until Stanley a week later. I even got a freebie refill from a very generous lady on my third day. She and her husband served me lunch. We talked for almost two hours. It was fantastic! Very nice, kind people.
