Movie-Locations
Batman Forever film location: Custom House
National Museum of the American Indian (previously the old US Customs House), Bowling Green, Lower Manhattan.
The old Customs House building supplied the grandiose entrance to the ‘Ritz Gotham Hotel’, where Ed Nygma – aka The Riddler – (Jim Carrey) holds his wild bash in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. The extravagant interior seen in the film, by the way, is the lobby of the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.
The imposing frontage has featured in quite a few films, including Ghostbusters II and The Royal Tenenbaums.
