Eat Your Veggies
Barney and his family of 18 African spur tortoises were happily munching away when we arrived. They had carrots, lettuce and cauliflower scattered all about for them to eat, but the majority of the tortoises seemed to prefer the juicy red tomatoes.
Since they don't wear name tags, I don't know which one is Barney, or even if I actually got a photo of him even though I took tons of pictures. Regardless, they were amazing to see and watch, and were a huge hit with the crowd, but the tortoises never showed the first sign that they aware of any of us.
