Avoiding The Crowds
These Mouring Doves are foraging in the back of the yard where I toss nuts for the squirrels to forage on. This part of the yard is usually not as chaotic as the part there the majority of the feeders are located.
Although they will venture closer to the house on occasion to see what treats may be under the feeders, they seem to prefer foraging in relative peace and quiet, as long the squirrels leave them alone.
