E is for Elephant
Or to be more exact, Ellie the Elephant Bank. Back in the day, piggy banks were all the rage, but one of my sisters decided I needed an Elephant Bank for my birthday. I expect the reason was to help remind me to save my earnings from my weekly chores.
Ever since then, Ellie has encouraged me to save those hard-earned pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, etc. And even though I'm now an adult, Ellie sits on my dresser, next to my jewelry box, still reminding me, ever so subtly each and every day that "A penny saved is a penny earned!"
