Hide and Seek
Well camouflaged among the protective cover of our camellia bush, this little hummingbird was keeping a watchful eye on things, guarding its territory and, more importantly, the nearby hummingbird feeder.
If I hadn't seen it fly into the bush, I never would have spotted it - and it still took me a bit to actually find it, too!
Was able to grab a few shots, but it wasn't until later that I saw it appeared to be panting from the excessive heat we've been having in our area lately. I've been seeing other birds panting but didn't know hummers panted, too.
