Saying Bye-Bye on the Death Star
Stormtrooper Bruce is still watching Palpatine’s nephew, and as much as he love’s earning those Brownie Points with the P, these past few months have challenged him in ways he never thought possible. But finally, things may be looking up for STB.
Palpatine: Pardon my intrusion on your breakfast my sweet nephew, but I’ve come with great news. Your parents have finally returned, so you can move back home to the Officer’s Deck. Isn’t that exciting? Oh, and what’s your name today?
Lassie: Oh hello, Unka Pappy! Wowzer, wowie! That’s the bestest news ever! I sure missed Momma, and I bet she missed me, too! But I can’t leave just yet accause this week is Alphabet Week. Yesterday we did vowels, and now we’re doing constants. Unka Dude put all the letters in that pot and three times a day I pull a letter and then we have fun using as many words as possible that start with it. I just pulled “B” so now I’m having Breakfast, with Brats, Bananas and I’m drinking some hot Brew. That’s my new Book and later we’re going to Bake some Brownies. And now I’m gonna call you Bunka Bappy! Oh, and today I’m Lassie, accause Lassie was super smart and was always saving the day!
Palpatine: Oh, I see some things never change. Don’t you have a fancy word for what just happened?
STB: Maybe you’re thinking WTMIAO, that’s short for way too much information at once. But I’m glad to hear Lassie’s parents are back. I knew school would be starting soon so I thought Alphabet Week would help him get ready. I’ll pack all his things and help you carry them. I don’t want to keep you waiting.
Lassie: Oh, Alphabet Week’s been SO much fun. I get to look for letters everywhere like books, labels, newspapers, magazines. Some letters really like to hide. Can’t wait to see what I pull next. And then you can help me look for them, too, Bunka Bappy!
STB: So, um, just curious? Did his parents find a suitable planet to live on yet?
Palpatine: Sadly, no, so looks like we’re all going back to our normal schedules. You’re to resume your duties first thing next week. And Lassie, you’ll start home schooling, too.
Lassie: Okie Dokie, I can hardly wait! Guess this means Bye Bye, Bunka Bude! We’ll Bundle up all my things and Be on our way. But don’t worry, I’ll Be Back!
STB: Bummer.
