Never Outshine the P on the Death Star
Unable to wait until the end of the month, Stormtrooper Bruce went ahead and donated his Trooper Stupor Calendar proceeds to Palpatine for his Find the Droid campaign. The P was appreciative of the gesture, but hinted perhaps the credits could be put to better use.
STB: Guys I think I'm in deep bantha poo. Palpatine seemed a bit put out, like he wasn't even planning a new droid campaign. He's going to put the credits toward another project he's working on.
TK-432: Maybe he's upset because your calendar was waaay better than the one he puts out.
TK-1110: Yeah, it's not good to outdo your boss. Especially when he's a Sith Lord who can shoot lightening from his fingertips.
STB: Um, never thought about that. Too late now. We'll just have to wait and see what his new project is. Hopefully it's a new secret weapon to make even the worst rebel scum cower in their boots.
TK-432: What about a cloaking device – that’d be nice.
TK-1110: So would a Marauder’s Map, but don't hold your breath for ANY of those ideas.
STB: Why, what have you heard?
TK-1110: Nothing, honey.
TK-432: Oooh, you HAVE heard something! Spill the beans!
TK-1110: Just rumors and hearsay. Supposedly the P is planning on expanding his botanical gardens - perhaps that experimental section.
TK-432: Maybe he's creating giant, walking carnivorous plants, or ...
STB: Maybe we don't want to know. Some secrets are best kept secret. You have no idea what's down in the experimental section of his "zoo" so I shudder to think what could grow in that garden of his!
TK-1110: Well, at least your hard work wasn’t a waste. I’m sure deep down the P loved having those extra credits – even if your calendar outshone his.
STB: And that's no bueno. It's the whole let the Wookie win scenario. No one outshines the P. And I just did.
