Purple Berry Plant Thingy

Very cool looking plant with purple berries along the stem.

 

This appears to be in the Beautyberry family but not sure what variety it may be. If you know - an ID would be most appreciated. Until then it remains a purple berry plant thingy. Sad but true.

 

Seen in the Children's Garden at Dauset Trails Nature Center.
