Newly Born

Spotted this dragonfly which appears to have just moulted from its final larvae stage, still clinging to its cast skin hanging underneath the hand rail on the bridge we were crossing.

 

Not the best place for taking pictures but I guess it you are a dragonfly that was a pretty good place to hide out until you're ready to take on the new world.
