I moved the thistle sock to its own separate shepherd's hook because the birds seemed too crowded and a bit testy with the sock being right next to the hotmeats feeder (pepper treated sunflower meats).
So now they STILL crowd the hotmeats feeder, and hardly use the thistle sock at all, even though it is barely two feet away from its original spot. It's rather sad when you get excited about seeing two Goldfinches on it at the same time. LOL!
Hopefully the artic blast headed our way over the next few days will change things and they'll realize there really are two feeders for them to enjoy.
