Desperately Seeking Sunshine!
This past weekend we paid a visit a favorite, local nature center just for a change of scenery before winter gets here and makes such outings a truly unpleasant experience.
As we've already had some severe cold weather in our area recently, we were pleased to have mild temperatures and even clear sunny skies on the day we'd chosen for our outing.
Needless to say, what a surprise to see this turtle sunning on a log on the lake there! There was still a definite chill in the air in spite of the sunny day, but sunshine is sunshine so I could hardly blame him.
