The Swan, Elstow

Not only one gorgeous fireplace to enjoy a pint of beer by, but two of them! This one again is so inviting when lit during the winter months. The new landlord Neil spent some time polishing those brasses and copper bucket! Actually he has transformed this place back into the community spirited building it once was and added a few touches that make it so inviting. The beer's damn good too!

Just the first set of pictures from the new Olympus. Unfortunately I can't get the Olympus software to convert the RAW's without hanging so just the straight jpegs for now. (Unless anyone else has some ideas on RAW conversion?) Still getting to grips with the new camera but so refreshing to turn that LCD off and use it just like one of my old film cameras! Completely different set of shots from me I know and I loathe to say it but it's refreshing to not have to deal with the purple fringing from the Fuji in these instances. Now if I can just crack the 'studio' shots I'll be more than happy! Tried desperately to avoid the 'bokeh' shots that are so tempting with a new dSLR, but there's probably going to be a few soon!

Overall for the camera so far - a big fat 10 out of 10 :-)
