Edge of Autumn

At Peyto Lake, early fall had already left its mark. Fresh snow clung to the surrounding slopes, while the lake below remained unfrozen, its blue surface calm under an almost sunny sky. The contrast between winter edging in and open water still holding on gave the scene a quiet, in-between feeling.
