Hidden In Plain Sight

Rapaki Jetty, Lyttelton Harbour, NZ

Hasselblad 503CX, 60mm CF, Fuji Acros, B+W ND110, 8 Seconds. Ilfotec LC29, 1+19, 6 minutes. (3rd roll through original solution)

It hides in plain sight, overlooked and unthought of. Feet scurry back and forth on a cladding of weathered, painted wood and trusting hands grasp at the rails it supports. Yet all the while barnacles eat away at it timbers and the salt water makes its bolts bleed red rust. Time and tide are taking their toll, weakening our foundation.
