I clearly remember this 1960s-style signage being here when I was a kid. Back in the 1960s.
After some research I have discovered that artist Stefan Knapp, who designed the huge mural that appeared on an exterior wall of Alexander's in the Bronx, also designed this installation for the store. It is made of enameled metal.
