Top Questions to ask your wedding Photographer

TOP QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

THERE ARE MANY QUESTIONS TO ASK, THESE WILL HELP MAKE YOUR WEDDING DAY THE BEST IT CAN BE!

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO? The options given to you by a full time photographer are limitless. Engagement session, pre-bridal session, pre-wedding session, trash-the-dress sessions. Your imagination is where it begins.

-

DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT? The legal forms will save you big time if any thing should happen. Accidents, photographer failing to deliver, expectations about funding. It all works if it written and agreed upon.

-

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR THE MOST MEMORABLE PHOTOGRAPHS? Think about what kind of pictures you wish to have in your album or hanging on the wall. The pictures should be an extension of your vision, and if all the pictures are outside at high noon and people all have squinty eyes, and sweat rolling down the cheeks.....not too desirable. If you can coordinate the time of day with the location and have late afternoon to late evening sunlight, the pictures will be much more romantic and flattering to you and your fiance’.

-

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD WE ALLOW FOR PICTURES? Our recommendation for excellent pictures on your wedding day is to allow enough time for guys to get photographed first, then the ladies, then bring the Bride and Groom together for a “sweet” time with no audience and tender moments when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day. These pictures are some of the best! The amount of time for these portraits really depends on the location and how many guests are in the bridal party.

-

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF AN EMERGENCY COMES UP AND YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE WEDDING? We will have back up shooters to take our place. In 20 years of wedding photography, this has NEVER happened!

-

IS IT OK FOR GUESTS TO TAKE PICTURES AT THE SAME TIME AS THE PHOTOGRAPHER? The reason you hire a professional photographer is to get the best pictures possible. When Uncle Joe has jumped in it, slows the process and makes everyone feel uncomfortable.

-

DO YOU TAKE SPECIAL REQUESTS? Yes CAN I GIVE YOU A SPECIFIC LIST OF SHOTS I WANTt? Yes

-

WHAT WILL YOU AND YOUR ASSISTANTS WEAR? Tie and Shirt, Slacks and Blouse.

-

WHAT TIME WILL YOU ARRIVE TO THE EVENT? 30 Min. before pictures start time

-

IS MY WEDDING THE ONLY EVENT YOU WILL COVER THAT DAY? Yes

-

DO YOU RECOMMEND GETTING ALL THE PICTURES DONE BEFORE THE CEREMONY? YES! The guests are much happeir when they can transition from the ceremony to the reception and not have to wait on 60-90 minutes of pictures to be taken. You have more fun also knowing that once the ceremony starts, its all about you, and not about how to stand or where to look. You get to relax and to be yourself and that’s what we capture in your portraits.

HOW MUCH MONEY DO WE NEED TO RESERVE THE WEDDING DATE?We recommend at least 50% down to reserve the date.
