Rita & Roz
My alternative Flickr identities. It's probably a psychological condition.
So to recap.....
Rita and Roz first met when they were students at Kingsville Girls High School. Roz was a very studious, high achiever and was a school prefect in Y12. Rita was neither but she was voted Student’s Student of the Year two years running and the student most likely to make her world a better place.
There is a difference of opinion around whether they were friends during their school years. Rita’s then boyfriend was Shane Applegrove who she also met at Kingsville Girls High School [another story]. Roz would sometimes accompany them on surfing trips particularly when they were short of petrol money.
During her university years, Roz lost contact with Rita. Rita, in the meantime, was now working at the Pyramid Build Society and living with Shane in a flat in Richmond. When Rita discovered that Shane was having a relationship with her best friend, Cali Marinis, they split up. Homeless and desperate she reconnected with Roz and convinced her to put her up on a ‘very, very’ temporary basis.
20 years later. they are still together, and Rita believes that she is now co-owner of the property.
A number of years back, Cali disappeared. She was subsequently found by a park ranger at Healesville Sanctuary asleep and dressed in a kangaroo suit. She had no recollection of how she got there or why she was wearing the kangaroo suit. After this unfortunate incident, the girls made up and have remained ‘good friends’ ever since.
Roz is an accountant, and Rita now works for the Rural & Regional Bank or the Regional & Rural Bank depending on my mood & memory.
