View of current setup, taken slightly from above, to show equipment on top of PC.
Equipment is, towards the front: KMV/KVM(?), a digital switchbox enabling two machines to share one keyboards and monitor. Towards the rear: Networking Hub, at this time LAN only, to enabling filesharing between different machines. Or at least it would if it worked. The Hub itself works, and is recongised by the computers, but although the PC knows what it is for connecting, it won't play wth it properly for the fancy stuff like sending your actual file contents back and forth.
This is because XP Pro has an invisible firework locked into it, and you have to downgrade to XP Home to get around that.
