Victorian Rosewood Work Table
Purchased for $70. Can you believe it? Only requiring a few very minor veneer repairs on the base, and a french polish. I'll replace the hideous fabric surrounding the box. Sadly, it has been sprayed with lacquer at some point in its past, and the finish has deteriorated to an opaque pus yellow colour. The only plus side to the lacquer is that due to its thickness, the solid rosewood tabletop was not marred by the deep pen impressions left from an X's and O's game played long ago on its surface.
