Caspar (white) and Biscuit (russet) are the resident guard dogs at our B&B. They've wormed their way into our affections with consumate stealth and skill. They call for us in the morning (by whimpering outside the door), escort us down to the electric gates whenever we leave, then wait there patiently for our return. Caspar retrieves fallen avocados and brings them to us as presents. And all we have to do to make their day is show them a little affection ... how could we not - we love 'em to pieces.
