Seba's short-tailed bat (Carollia perspicillata) - Stann Creek District, Belize

I recently posted some photos of a roosting bats from Peru and it was well received so I thought I would share this older photo f a different species from Belize. This is Seba's short-tailed bat (Carollia perspicillata) a common bat found in Central America and South America. They mostly eat fruit but they will also feed on insects. This cluster was found in some rusted out old sugar cane processing machinery, i heard the chittering of bats from outside and briefly crawled underneath for the photo. I left after just a few shots so as not to disturb the bats. I never managed to wash the bat poop out of my shorts though.
