1st Winter Med Gull at Buckhaven
A great weekend of birds with Malc, Harry, Barry and Tommy. 72 species yesterday. 2 big Scottish ticks today......pom skuas x2 at Kinghorn and a lovely very busy wee black tern at Lochgelly. We did a drive by at Shore Rd, Buckhaven and found 10 med gulls. John Nadin says that they are not breeding locally but have come in from Eastern Europe. Great to see the adults with the juveniles and the 1st winters...all subtly different plumages.
