Lesser Whitethroat
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!!! I arrived on the patch at the right moment this morning. Dr Jim Cobb was just ringing this delightful little lesser whitethroat. He reckoned that it had probably flown over The Levant all the way from south of the Sudan to be with us in Scotland!!! He has been ringing birds for over 50 years and is a mine of knowledge.
