Northern Pintail Drake Flypast

It was lovely to sit in the George Evans Hide (in sub zero temps!!!) at the Eden Estuary this afternoon and have half a dozen beautiful northern pintail ducks fly past us. Managed to capture a few photos. They are so elegant. I liked the collective terms of knob and cushion!!! As ever the female is a rather drab brown!!!
