Forts and batteries of howitzers were built around Bucharest and were completed in 1914. Today, follows their rehabilitation but for the benefit of the public, various exhibitions, cafes, recreational places for as many have detriorat or deposits have been made. The works of 18 forts and 18 intermediate batteries started in 1884 and ended in 1914, and as irony in 1917 were disarmed because the evolution of the art of war was much faster than the thought of a belgian general Henri Alexis Brialmond one who designed the fortifications of cities and Liege, Namur and Antwerp
