Rameshwaram-08
The 2 1/2 kilometers of bridged tracks over the Bay of Bengal at Rameshwaram. This bridge is called as 'Pamban', and was constructed by the Britishers about 130 years ago. This bridge also opens through a pully system to let small ships cross from the Bay of Bengal to the Indian Ocean, rather than circle the whole of Srilanka.
