New blood indeed on the Chemins de Fer de Provence that operates the metre-gauge line between Nice and Digne (the "Train des Pignes"), in the form of the smart 2-car DMUs numbered AMP801-804. At the time of this view, the new units were being phased into service, being limited to working the urbanised stretch of the line between Nice and Plan du Var. Pioneer unit AMP801 has just left Colomars- La Manda to parallel the Var valley in its run back to Nice.
