Definitely the end of the line

Windswept and with a salty Atlantic tang in the air, this is the very end of the Long Island Railroad at Montauk. The old station building in no longer in railroad use, passengers having to make with the island platform facility in the far distance. A ‘scoot’ (shuttle) train provides off-peak services as far as Speonk, within Suffolk County.
