Austin J40
Vintage British pedal car, among the exhibits at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum. The model enjoyed a long production run, from 1947 to 1971, being manufactured in a factory in Merthyr Tydfil that employed disabled former servicemen. The design was based on the contemporary Austin A40 and was approved by Austin’s autocratic managing director, Leonard Lord. The dashboard echoes the full-scale prototype.
