My grandmother (center) and her siblings. My great uncle Grover (far right) passed away a few months ago so they are all gone now. The “couch” they’re sitting in is the back seat of the car they came out to California in in 1927 at the beginning of the Great Depression.
My great grandpa was promised a job picking fruit. When he packed up the family and drove out from Kentucky, there were no jobs to be found anywhere. In addition to restoring the photo, I added a little color tinting.
