Ray of Monmouth
Butler Davidson Cemetery
Established in 1852 on the Elijah Davidson Donation Land Claim on a hilltop south of Monmouth, it contains graves of Elijah Davidson and Peter Butler families and their kin.
Originally this cemetery was in a clearing, on the top of a hill with a view of Mt. Hood, and Mt. Jefferson, at the edge of the Willamette valley.
Now the forest has swallowed it up and it is deep in the woods.
