Queen Parrotfish, Scarus vetula
A wide-eyed, sleeping queen parrotfish, slightly enveloped in a spiderweb-like shroud, self-secreted to prevent its scent from migrating beyond its rocky lair. This sleeping beauty displays its flat incisors used to scrape algae from rocks and coral. Photographed off the coast of Bonaire, February, 1996.
Public media to me is about being exposed to the natural wonders of the world.
